Working on your countryside

We have clients across Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.

The Practice has clients in Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire. They include farmers and rural entrepreneurs but also residents concerned about proposed development near their homes and businesses. Current projects include proposals for residential barn conversions, new boarding kennels, and the rebuilding of a large country house. We have also been working on the final stages of a development plan and its allocation of land for housing and employment. Recent successes include preventing ‘backland’ housing development close to clients’ homes in a Staffordshire village.

The Place Alliance has published a new report, "HOME COMFORTS How the design of our homes and neighbourhoods effected (sic) our experience of the Covid-19 lockdown and what we can learn for the future". It proves that now even academics don't write proper English.

At the request of a new client I produced a planning statement explaining why planning permission should be granted retrospectively. It went to the Council last Monday. Permission granted this Monday. Planning officer deserves credit for responsiveness. That's quick.

Our latest success was with a proposal to change a small, former quarry into an extension of a domestic garden. It has been approved with acceptable conditions, so our clients are pleased. But we're only halfway there. We now need separate approval for infilling the hole.
